Job Purpose and Summary Canon EMEA is looking for an Application Owner of our Digital Media Systems (internally known as Digital Media Systems Application Specialist) that support the delivery of media rich experiences - responsible for ensuring that systems and processes efficientlydeliver high quality video and image content to our audiences throughout EMEA.You will be part of the Content Systems Team within Canon EMEA, thatmanages a portfolio of applications that deliver websites, apps and digital experiences across our region. Systems within the portfolio include Content Management, Digital Asset Managementand Product Information Management. Lastly, youll find that Canon encourages continuous Learning and Development with a wide range of resources and support available on demand.Our Corporate Communications team are based at our state-of-the-art EMEA HQ in Uxbridge which is easily reached via the Elizabeth line, with subsidised restaurant, free parking and Costa coffee on site too!What we askAs the Application Owner of our Digital Media Systems you will:- Work with key business stakeholders and Digital Operations team to determine and deliver ongoing improvements and new functionalities to support and improve efficient/effective content workflows.- Plan and manage the media systems strategic & tactical roadmap and small change backlog prioritising items that deliver the most value.-Ownthe development backlog. Work with the business and IT to set clear and regular prioritization based on business value and complexity.- Prepare functional requirements for approved changes to our digital platforms and liaise with IT and developers throughout the development cycle to ensure accuracy of delivery.- Work with SCRUM Masters, IT delivery teams and the business to ensure that new demand and small change items are delivered against agreed timelines, budgets and to the desired quality.- Own related knowledge management channels, which describe related processes. Maintain the content so that users across EMEA can work effectively.- Perform User Acceptance Testing and Quality Assurance on new functionality, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements- Work with colleagues across EMEA to determine country specific requirements and advise on usage of existing platforms. Where functionality cannot be delivered, work with IT to determine the best solution to meet their needs. Add to new backlog as appropriate.- Educate the business on the current capabilities of our chosen platforms and be the main point of contact with the business to identify new and future capability requirements.- Understand how the media applications integrate with other digital applications in order to support the delivery of connected systems throughout the content publishing workflow.- Engage the EMEA marketing and user community (including third parties) to understand their views (needs and requests) and ensure they are kept informed of all future developments.- Develop, deliver & manage governance modes and usage processes to ensure the applications are appropriately deployed and used.- Identify, create and deliver end user training as required.You will needAs Application Owner you have:- Experience with imaging and video technologies (eg Amplience, Brightcove, DAM technology)- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Customer service orientation, with positive energy - Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure. - Ability to synthesize and simplify complex information. - Ability to work on a portfolio of projects at once, responding flexibly to the changing needs of the business.- International experience an advantage. - Ability to communicate and interact effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
