Technical Support AdministratorKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities as a 1st Line Technical Support Engineer: Provide support and technical expertise relating to build, test, and deployments for Engineering Systems upgrade and maintenance projectsBe a solid technical resource for Engineering Systems upgrade client installsEnsure that all Engineering Systems upgrade work is carried out in the day and the resource(s) will be working with the Project Manager for co-ordination / point of referenceProvide 1st Line Technical Business-as-usual support when requiredCreate and maintain technical documentation to support Engineering Systems architectures and IT ServicesContacting End User and arranging time/date of install in conjunction with the PM Determine Software RequirementsUpdating Old/New Asset DetailsTo install, reinstall or configure software using agreed methodologies such as batch scriptTo image, configure and deploy new computersTo provide support to the Group IT Engineering systems service desk:Provide remote assistance over the phone and via use of remote support toolsTalking staff through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone.SKILLS Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to process and interpret complex technical information Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage own workload to meet project deadlines Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others Making decisions Delivering results Personal drive Strong problem-solving skills Good organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamTemporary ongoing role at £11.28phStandard working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunchPlease be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
