Job Description

Scheme Manager Immediately RequiredDuration: 3 months with the chance of extensionLocations: UttoxeterHours: 37 Mon - Fri (8:30 am to 16:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 16:00 pm on Friday with half an hour lunch break)Pay Rate: £18 - 19 UmbrellaAn opening has arisen for a Scheme Manager in Uttoxeter for a large Housing Association. This role is to manage 38 flats and provide support to the service users to enable them to live independently in a safe and secure environment. The chosen candidate MUST hold an enhanced DBS and a Full Drivers License.The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conduct all related housing management tasks for all residents including assessments, allocations panels, viewings, sign ups, signposting low level debt issues and managing all breaches in tenancies including anti-social behaviour in partnership with thehousing management team
  • Develop positive relationships with residents/families/advocates ensuring effective communication networks
  • Ensure all new residents receive a full induction into the service including requirements of tenancy and financial expectations
  • Provide additional tenancy and welfare support as necessary to ensure tenancies are sustained and well-being and independence are maximised, including advocating and organising additional support from external agencies where appropriate
  • Address any early anti-social behaviour issues in scheme acting as a mediator in the event of disputes to avoid escalation of ASB
  • Attend case review meetings with external agencies, where appropriate ensuring the needs of residents and any risks are clearly understood securing either additional support or alternative housing solutions
  • Manage complaints in line with the organisations policies and procedures, responding quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure the 24-hour control centre have up to date and relevant resident information provided in a timely manner
  • Respond effectively to crisis and emergency situations
  • Develop, review and monitor support required for residents, identifying changing risks and needs within a support plan working with the residents, families and external agencies to ensure the appropriate support solutions are in place
  • Maintain daily contact with all residents
  • Identify and work with residents experiencing mental and physical health issues, working with external agencies were appropriate
The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in this position
