Job Description

Location: Uttoxeter Salary: £65,000 + Car/Car AllowanceSummary:At Bis Henderson, we are looking for an Operations Manager to join an established wholesale distributor, distributing heavy goods. This role will play a vital part in leading and developing the Operational side of the business, providing support through allareas. The Operations Manager will maintain a focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives through all areas of the business, such as implementing and driving a 5S programme. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Operations Manager withina wholesale distribution environment, with proven experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Operational side of the business, providing support in all areas, acting as a key point of contact for all escalations.
  • Drive improvement through all areas of the business, including warehousing, logistics, installation, supply chain and within their repair function. This includes driving a 5S programme and CI programmes.
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to, to ensure the continued ISO accreditations across the business.
  • Provide regular reporting and people management in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of stock holdings through process excellence.
Experience:
  • Previous experience as an Operation Manager within a wholesale distribution environment, with an understanding of repair functions.
  • Strong personality, able to confident drive processes.
  • Proven experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a previous role.
  • Comfortable working and driving success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident leading cross-functional teams and able to influence at all levels.
