Workshop JoinerHours: 39 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.The hours are Monday to Thursday 830am to 5 pm and Friday 830am to 4 pm.Salary: Up to £30,000 per annumAre you a qualified Workshop Joiner who is looking for a career in a well-established organisation If so, our vacancy may be for you. You will be a strong team player, with an excellent work ethic, who wants to make a difference.You will help maintain, repair, modify and refurbish the School’s buildings and facilities to ensure a safe and attractive environment. The work is varied but typical duties might include:• Internal and external timber repairs before redecoration• Ironmongery repair and replacement• Replacing and adjusting fire doors• Constructing bespoke items in hardwood• Replacing/refurbishing ornate hardwood panelling• Working on refurbishment projects as part of a team• Making and constructing traditional softwood and hardwood windows of sash and casementThe ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification, along with experience of a bench and site joinery, using woodworking machines and traditional construction and repair techniques.
