Job Description

Technical Sales Adviser requiredDo you have an interest in Mechanical Engineering and some experience within sales or customer serviceAre you looking for a secure long term job in an essential industry that remains unaffected by Pandemics, Brexit and recessionsMy client is the leading distributor and reseller of Air Operated mechanical fluid pumps and solutions in the UK. With a global client base across petrochemical, food manufacturing and pharmaceuticals they have been supplying pumps and fluid control solutions internationally for over 40 years.Due to company growth they are now seeking a Technical Sales Adviser, working within a team of 4 Technical Sales advisers out of their Brentwood offices, this role will entail:

  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries, responding to client enquires via email and phone.
  • The provision of paperwork from quotations to proforma and invoice
  • Checking incoming stock, packing pumps, shipping parts and pumps to clients, and stocktaking
  • Additional adhoc duties that could range from stripping a hire pump to visiting customer sites to assist in the production of bespoke pump engineering projects. Full training will be provided.
    • You will need:
  • Essential: A background in sales or customer service entailing communication with customers or clients
  • A background, strong interest or education within mechanical engineering is required, you will be responding to customer queries regarding technical engineering pump queries
  • A driving licence and own vehicle is essential
  • Computer literate, able to use spreadsheets, word docs as well as capability to learn in-house systems
