So, if you want to kickstart your career in this engaging role as a Trainee Inspector of Health and Safety, don’t miss out, apply today!The Role As a Trainee Inspector of Health and Safety, you will learn how to conduct inspections and investigations of workplaces throughout the UK to ensure effective health and safety measures are in place. You’ll undertake a robust training programme, building a technical understanding of the law, safety technology, health matters and learning to analyse how a wide range of organisations approach these issues at every level. Once trained, you will conduct inspections and investigations into accidents, dangerous occurrences, ill health and concerns about workplace conditions. You’ll decide the most appropriate course of action to rectify issues, and, where appropriate, use legalprocesses and enforcement notices to ensure compliance with health and safety laws. After your training, your role will also involve: - Engaging with other agencies, such as the Police- Speaking with witnesses and families - Preparing cases for prosecution for criminal court proceedings About YouTo be considered as a Trainee Inspector of Health and Safety, you will need:- A minimum of a 2:2 degree in any subject or a higher qualification or level 6 equivalent- The ability to plan, change and adapt and have the determination to progress multiple workstreams at the same time and at pace- Initiative and decisiveness, supporting your ability to make effective decisions- Sound analytical skills- Good communication skills- A full, valid driving licence (due to nationwide travel)Please note, this role will involve working in potentially adverse conditions, such as at height.
