Job Description

Are you an experienced Systems or Service AnalystDo you have experience supporting and configuring Oracle applications to make sure continuity of service and functionality for end usersYou might just be the new team member we are looking for!We have a vacancy to join our existing Oracle systems team supporting our public sector clients. Your primary function will be to resolve incidents raised by client users and internal staff through to resolution, investigating and collaborating closely withrelevant internal teams and suppliers where required.As well as investigating incidents raised, you’ll provide support for delivery of client raised changes, testing and annual audit activities.This hybrid role will be based from home 3 days a week and joining the team working out of one of our modern Centres of Excellence in Glasgow, Blackpool, Newcastle, York, Newport or Gosport the other 2 days.What you’ll be doing:

  • Triage and investigate incidents raised, to support the SOP Service Desk
  • Resolve SOP related incidents with timely updates to relevant parties
  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring incidents are assigned accurately and managed appropriately
  • Make sure all incidents are resolved to contractually agreed timeframes
  • Support appropriate for major incidents
  • Support testing of quarterly system updates for continuous service
  • Support bi-annual audit of support processes
  • Identify and suggest areas for improvement and implement ideas
  • Support delivery of changes requests and projects
What you will bring:
  • Previous experience of using Oracle EBS or other similar ERP systems
  • A committed work ethic with an emphasis on quality over quantity and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks across systems and prioritise accordingly
  • Eagerness to learn, develop and grow in the role
  • Confidence to build relationships within the team and with external customers
It would be great if you had:
  • Previous experience in a functional/technical support role of ERP systems or other applications
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Experience of CSI processes eg. Lean Six Sigma or similar
