Job Description

You will be liasing with Cisco TAC at a Cisco Gold partner level (Checkpoint, F5 or other vendors may be acceptable) and it would be highly advantageous to have some awareness of the processes and standard of diagnostics this requires.Job Description

  • Be part of the technical team responsible for delivering vendor independent Network Solutions at Cisco Gold Partner Standard.
  • Provide technical escalation point for all network related issues including complex & major Incidents.
  • Problem investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Service acceptance.
  • Complex provisioning, changes and customer service requests.
  • Offer technical leadership, define and document best practice.
  • Provide informal assistance & formal training to Network Engineers.
  • The successful candidate will idealy come from a multi-vendor best in class enviroment.
  • Responsibilities
  • Hands-on troubleshooting, support and documentation of end-to-end Wireless & Wired networking and security solutions.
  • Building and maintaining a close technical relationship with clients.
  • Maintaining a close technical relationship with vendors and suppliers in order to ensure access to the latest product and/or technical information.
  • Maintaining and developing a high level of product and technical knowledge to other areas of the business.
  • Provide post-sales support to the project team as part of the sales delivery cycle including technical consultancy.
  • Capturing and documenting client business and technical requirements.
  • Ensuring proposed solutions are within the capabilities of the business to deliver.
  • Documenting high-level solution designs.
  • Communicating the scope of the overall solution.
  • Accepting ownership and responsibility for technical design updates of the overall solution.
  • Providing technical input to account plans.
  • Attending client meetings and conference calls as required.
  • Assisting in presenting solutions.
  • Participate in Change Management process and peer reviewing changes as required.
  • Request holiday, report sickness and claim overtime and expenses adhereing to current applicable Daisy policies.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the Corporate Intranet.
  • You are aware of all security responsibilities & know how to access Daisy Group Security Policies hosted on the Intranet.
  • the principles listed with the Daisy Group Security Policy Statement document are embedded within the operations of your team.
  • Carry out any ad hoc? assignments as and when required.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.
  • QualificationsTechnical skills:
  • Extensive hands on implementation and troubleshooting of complex Cisco networking solutions.
  • Excellent Cisco security skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of troubleshooting.
  • Experience of Cisco Collaboration Solutions an advantage.
  • ITIL Foundation an advantage.
  • Nexus Experience (5,7 series and 1000v experience and/or certification).
  • Load balancing technologies such as F5.
  • Checpoint firewall experience an advantage.
  • Juniper experience - Core and Security Products.
  • HP Experience.
  • Mandatory:
  • Security Clearance. (SC Level) ot the ability to be security cleared.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional with extensive experience at maintainer level.
  • Desirable:
  • CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/P/S or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Skills and Qualities:
  • Ability to lead and develop others in a technical environment.
  • Ability to collaborate to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in motivating teams to deliver excellent results.
  • Customer focus, with a desire to deliver consistently high quality service.
  • Good communications skills both written and verbal.
