Job Description

Oracle DBA / Systems Specialist required for a Home Based role, salary circa £45-60K + benefitsMy client are seeking an experienced Oracle systems specialist to perform a hybrid role.Oracle Database Administration (50%):

  • General DBA tasks
  • Monitoring
  • Alert response
  • Indexing
  • Tuning
  • Health checks
  • Upgrades
    • Systems Specialist Tasks (50%)
  • Assisting consultants with the back end of Maximo implementations
  • Replication
  • DR
  • Working with AWS / Azure
  • Solution design
  • Advanced problem solving
  • Installation of Websphere, MQ and associated services
    • The majority of this position will be spent working with Oracle databases, however there will be some interaction with SQL Server, MySQL and DB2.This is an excellent opportunity for someone to branch out from traditional Oracle DBA tasks and broaden their horizons.The role is remote, and there is likely to be very little travel. However, you will be required to meet with the hiring manager approximately once per week to catch up.There is a requirement to occasionally provide some out of hours support for extreme cases / P1’s (rare).My client offers excellent benefits and a good progression route.Please apply ASAP for more information.
