SENIOR CONSULTANT - ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT/PLANNINGLondon/Manchester/Birmingham - other locations consideredup to £53,000 plus many extrasOur client is seeking an experienced Environmental Planner/Consultant to join their thriving and highly skillful London team. They are a global presence in as a construction consultancy and property management group offering advice to the built environmentwho continue to go from strength to strength and are continuing to expand their offering within their Environmental Planning division.The Environmental Planning Team forms part of the Planning, Development and Regeneration business which focus provides complimentary services to the group`s master-planning and town-planning commissions throughout the UK, as well as supporting other partsof the group.Their services provide:- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); the provision of environmental constraints and opportunities planning at the site feasibility and master-planning stages of a project; and the provision of high-level strategic environmentalplanning advice for complex situations at all stages of the development life-cycle.The group`s dedicated Environmental Planning Team works across the UK within a diverse range of areas, including: - Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Hospitality, Energy and the Arts. They have an enviable spread of schemes currently, which includethree major redevelopments across the country, incorporating housing, entertainment and leisure - all seen as truly ground breaking.Whilst London and Manchester are the preferred locations there is certainly flexibility to house this individual within Birmingham or wherever your base might be.About YouThe expectation is that you will be a seasoned Environmental Specialist, preferably hailing from a consultancy environment and have the ability to manage and deliver a diverse range of services which will include full management and delivery of projects,quality assurance and sign-off of deliverables, client management and project financial management as well as business development exposure and expertise.Additionally marketing and networking; team management and mentoring; product development and innovation; operational management; and contribution to business strategy.My client is looking for a Chartered Environmental Engineer/Scientist with:

  • An excellent understanding of various environmental topic areas and the UK planning system
  • A thorough understanding and practical experience of implementing the relevant EIA Regulations at all stages of the EIA process
  • Experience co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams; experience working with and managing various project stakeholders
  • Project management experience, including the financial monitoring and management of projects
  • Excellent written skills, with specific experience authoring EIA Screening reports / requests, EIA Scoping reports / request, Environmental Statements (ESs) and other related deliverables, taking responsibility for signing-off / approving written deliverablesand quality assurance)
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • A pro-active and collaborative team approach, engendering inclusion, support and motivation amongst your peers
  • A desire to go beyond process and procedure, with an ability to think innovatively to enhance outcomes for clients. Whilst this would be desirable, it is not essential, as the company will consider individuals at various levels offering great potential.
