We can therefore offer unparalleled growth opportunities to theright person.The team you will be working with focuses on the evaluation, design, and execution of digital transformation projects. We are a high-performing team of PMs, BAs, UX, developers, and testers who are building a portfolio of work within the Defence sector forSSCL.The portfolio consists of multiple programmes, managed through the Delivery Framework methodology that has been internally developed.This is a hybrid-variable role, you can be based anywhere in the UK, we have offices in London, Gosport, Glasgow and Newport (South Wales). Whilst you will mainly be working from home, you must be located within the UK, and prepared to attend weekly or monthlymeetings and workshops at our offices (predominantly London, but occasionally other offices UK-wide) or client sites as required.What youll be doing:

• You will be leading the governance and delivery of large digital transformation projects.
• Ensuring that projects deliver agreed deliverables and outcomes and course correct where required
• Working with delivery partners (e.g. product owners, clients, consulting partners) to determine and create plan projects
• Ensuring project governance is in line with the Delivery Framework and company policies and standards
• Monitoring and managing project financials, RAIDs and resource requirements
• Partnering with the business and clients to ensure effective change management and define and deliver projects.
• Pre-empt risks and challenge efficiencies across the projects
• Provide complete project reporting and dependency management
• Managing project staff
• Contributing to Programme planning
• Deputising for the Programme Manager as required
• Accountable for preparing, presenting and managing / facilitating steering committee materials and decisions and presenting said material up to Director Level audiences
• Lead high levels of collaboration across programmes bringing together subject matter experts from multiple fields and ensure problem statements and solutions are clearly articulated
• Absorb and analyse highly complex business issues and translate them into clear direction and activities, challenging the status quo

What youll bring:

• 5 years plus project management experience
• Project Management Professional accreditation from the Project Management Institute, or Agile Project Management qualifications
• Digital transformation project delivery and project management in cross-functional teams, within the business operations side of a business such as HR or Finance etc.
• Confident and strong ability to influence key Stakeholders through presenting and interpreting data
• Business change experience
• Digital/software development projects experience
• Full project lifecycle experience from idea inception through to post-go-live support and handover
• Agile project management
• Successful people leadership at a senior level within a large organisation
• Manipulate reports and analyse data to put forward recommendations and suggest new way of working
• Scrum management desirable
• Experience of working within government organisations
