Job Description

The CompanyOur client is a market leader in their industry sector. As part of this growth they are now looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter who is looking to grasp an outstanding career opportunity, and help a business grow and improve.The Role

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, identifying components and assemblies.
  • Inspection, modification and fitting of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Work as part of a team on overall and final loom assembly and installation.
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of final loom build.
  • Assembly of mechanical systems - gearbox, pumps, rotating equipment, bearings.
  • Attachment of electronic components / circuit boards.
  • Mechanical strip down, inspection, part modification and refit of current looms.
  • Use of a range of measuring tools and hand tools.
  • Complete all technical documentation as required.
  • Work within loom building delivery schedule.
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK (including NI) to support onsite build, testing and commissioning.
  • To provide guidance and support to apprentices.

  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
  • Ensure implementation of the Company Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
  • Ensure all procedures are adhered to and a high level of Customer Service is maintained.
  • Provide flexibility in supporting other departments as and when required.
  • Comply with the Environmental Management ISO 14001 & Quality Management ISO 9001 systems.
  • Carry out any other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable by management.
