Job Description

Role: Warehouse Administrator Location: TwickenhamSalary £19,000 to £21,000 depending on experience Start date: ASAPWe have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to work for one of the leading organisations in importing food and drinks. The Company is a recognisable brand and one of the market leaders in Czech & Slovakia foods and distribution of products within UK. With a number of successful product lines in their portfolio, the Company is one of the success stories since 2004 with very exciting times ahead. Successful candidates will get a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Company that can offer career enhancing prospects.As the Warehouse Operative, you will be accountable for two main functions within the warehouse operation:

  • Perform picking and packing duties in order to distribute products for both B2C and B2B orders
  • Provide operational assistance to the Warehouse & Dispatch Manager to ensure the warehouse is effectively managed in line with Company procedures.
  • Duties and responsibilitiesPicking and packing customer orders
  • Ensuring all consignments are addressed correctly and scanned out for dispatch within the agreed departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensuring all stock is located in the correct place and are correctly stored within the respective locations
  • Liaising with the Customer Service Team to ensure that relevant, and timely, information is provided relating to any issue with customer consignments
  • Weekend work may be necessary during certain weeks.
  • Accepting and checking deliveries * Offloading and unpacking goods
  • Ensure all stock is handled in a way as to minimise the risk of damage while in stock or during delivery
  • Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards
  • Process customer returns and ensure all items entering the warehouse are checked taking care to make sure that the parts returned reflects what is on the despatch note and that all goods are fit for purpose in order to resale.
  • Provide feedback to the Customer Service Team regarding the outcome in order for the customer to be informed
  • Ensure that any items returned are checked-in and the stock is updated via in-house systems to show the true stock allocation
  • IDEAL CANDIDATES:
  • Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment that deals with food products is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good ICT skills (competent with Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to timescales as directed by the Manager
  • Bright and positive with a keen eye for detail
  • Conscientious with great teamwork skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and willing to learn
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is vital
  • Forklift license is desirable
