Job Description

Relationship FundraiserWe are looking for a driven and passionate Fundraising Coordinator to join the team in this exciting and rewarding role.Position: Relationship Fundraising CoordinatorLocation: Pembury, near Tunbridge WellsHours: Full time and part time consideredSalary: £23,575 (FTE)Contract: PermanentBenefits: Generous pension scheme and holiday allowance, including that ability to buy and sell holiday. Long Service is also recognised, plus free parking and subsidised meals.Closing Date: 2nd of March 2020Interview Date: Week commencing 9th of March 2020The RoleAs the charity marks 40 years of providing care, the Fundraising team will be responsible for putting together an exciting and varied calendar of events and campaigns. Additionally, the team will be working on building business partnerships, engaging with regular givers and working with Major Investors and multiple Trusts and Foundations.Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to achieving the annual Fundraising budget.
  • Be a Named Contact for all fundraising enquiries and administration.
  • Distribution of fundraising marketing materials.
  • Recruit and coordinate the activity of volunteers to help with fundraising activities as required.
  • Recruitment of new supporters against agreed targets – field-based as appropriate.
  • Proactive Donor development – field-based as appropriate.
  • Named Contact for groups of supporters/donors, and individuals.
  • Demonstrate value for money when purchasing.
  • Monitor and evaluate wider fundraising activity and competitors to develop and inform own practice.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of events and campaigns.
  • Maintain occupational competence as a fundraiser.

Whilst you don’t have to have fundraising experience, you do need to have a passion and a desire to play an important role in enabling the charity to raise the £7million required each year.This is a role suited to a wide range of individuals, whether it’s taking your first steps in fundraising or building on your experience gained elsewhere such as sales, account management, customer service or business development.
