Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic organisation based on the outskirts of Tonbridge that are seeking to employ a very well experienced Operations Manager with a wealth of experience incl. managing all aspects of operations, production, manufacturing and support functions within the business. We are seeking applicants with an extensive background in FMCG / Pharmaceutical industry.Duties include:Develop the overall production plan and schedulesRegular liaising with Commercial department to manage customer expectations Oversee the planning of production in conjunction with Production and Warehouse area staff Direct site development projects such as investments in production technology and engineering projects and process flow planning Undertake financial analysis of all production operations Undertake regular business planning and reporting on outcomesManage, motivate, and develop staff to build a team Lead and manage the performance of the Production teamLiaise with Sales team to confirm sales forecast Responsibility for the integrity and quality of OperationsDirectly accountable for achieving business targets for product unit costs, health and safety compliance and Operations Dept overheadsDeliver capital investment programs to time and budgetResponsible for the turn-around of under performing operations/processesCompile and monitor departmental budgetsIdentify key performance parameters and establish relevant monitoringNegotiate with suppliers of packaging, utilities and raw materials Skills and experience required:Extensive experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals or other related industryManaging a similar function in a production centred SME of similar scale and playing a significant part in the growth of that businessSignificant cross functional management experience A relevant degree would be highly advantageous Knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsA team player with a pleasant and affable personalityDemonstrated competency in managing all aspects of the Operations Good people management skills to lead and motivate all members of the teamEffective planning and strategic thinking Reporting of Key Performance Indicators Previous Site Safety/Health & Safety experience (NEBOSH / IOSH)Continuous process improvement and implementationApply now for this excellent opportunity!At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
