Job Description

Lead Salesforce Developer - Leading UK Financial Services Provider - Remote Working - PermFantastic opportunity to join one of the most trusted names in the UK financial services industry as a Lead Salesforce Developer. Working with a business where employees and customers are always at the core of their values and practices, you will be offered excellent opportunities to develop and progress your career, alongside a competitive salary and benefits package.Job DescriptionAs a Lead Salesforce developer you will join the IT engineering team of a leading UK financial services provider, working on a range of exciting projects.This is a role that can be based remotely (UK Only) with travel to Kent offices a couple of times a month, which are less than an hour directly from London Bridge and Waterloo.You will work in a supportive, and forward-thinking agile delivery team leading the development and support of a new Salesforce powered customer platform using Service, Sales, Health and Marketing cloud.Your duties as a Lead Salesforce Developer will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Drive the design, development and support of a strategic customer platform, employing best practice in architecture, design, development and deployment.
  • Work within an agile team, adhering to Scrum or Kanban principles
  • Focus on automation and code quality, working with automated release pipelines and automated test packs to ensure a highly efficient and quality product is shipped to our users.
  • Act as coach and mentor for junior members of the Development teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement both within specific technology areas and across the IT department
    • The Successful Lead Salesforce DeveloperYou will have at least 3 years experience as a Salesforce Developer, and be looking to take on a more senior/lead role.Ideally you will be a certified Salesforce Platform Developer at level 1, and you MUST be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices.You will have an innovative approach to problem solving, knowledge of current industry trends and evidence of self-learning is also a highly valued asset for this role.Experience with all, or most of the following components are ideal:
  • Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Import Wizard)
  • Writing well-documented code in Apex, Triggers, Lightning and Lightning Web Components
  • Configuration and process automation such as Flows and Process builder
  • Integrating Salesforce with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
  • The complete Software Development Lifecycle including Release Management Testing, and Deployment
  • SFDX for development and automation
  • GIT version control
