Job Description

  • Provide leadership, management and inspiration to all staff and volunteers in the Fundraising Department as part of the Fundraising Leadership Team.
  • Managing income streams is a vital part of this job, so you need to be sure that you are motivated by achieving (and beating!) budgets.
  • Ensure that ‘relationship fundraising’ is embraced in every aspect of our interaction with hospice donors and supporters to deliver the full potential of fundraising for the charity and maximise income for the hospice.
  • As the charity marks 40 years of providing care, the Fundraising team will be responsible for putting together an exciting and varied calendar of events and campaigns. Additionally, the team will be working on building our business partnerships, engaging with our regular givers and working with our Major Investors and multiple Trusts and Foundations.Benefits include a generous holiday allowance (including the opportunity to buy more!) and pension scheme, mobile phone and mileage allowance, free parking and subsidized restaurant.About YouYou will be used to working in a fast paced environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a desire to play an important role in enabling the charity to raise the £7 million required each year.The successful Fundraising Manager will need to have a knack for developing great relationships and building rapport, with the ‘donor’ at the heart of the approach to fundraising.
