Job - Electro-Mechanical Technician Salary - GBP28/30k Location - Kent My client is experiencing a large growth in business levels and requires an additional person to the team. This is a hands-on role, requiring a self-motivated and focused individual, which will include production support, where working under tight time pressure will be involved from time-to-time. You will be working within the Engineering Department maintaining / repairing existing in-house developed production equipment and facilities and assembling new production equipment following engineering drawings. Main Duties: Fault finding, repair and routine maintenance of electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment. Construction and wiring of manufacturing equipment, including wiring of electronic / electrical control cabinets and panels against engineering drawings. Construction of prototype boards and the population of final printed circuit boards. Testing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment against test specifications. Some electrical installation maintenance / repair. Calibration of electronic and electrical equipment, using documented procedures. Light mechanical engineering duties, for example drilling and hole punching, filing, etc. Assembly of simple pneumatic systems. Pneumatic component refurbishment. Portable Appliance Testing. Experience required: Consistent with the duties described above and with ideally at least 10 years in similar roles. Experience that would be advantageous: Knowledge of industrial electrical installations. Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Calibration procedures and principles. Knowledge of pneumatic principles and systems. Qualifications required: Electrical / Electronic Engineering Qualification: City & Guilds full technological certificate / diploma, HNC / HND, or equivelent Video interviews, followed by one to one ensuring Government guidelines are met Required skills
