Assistant Shipping ClerkTrafford ParkNJR are working with an exciting business based in Trafford Park, who Import and Export clothing, footwear and accessories and work with both well-known high street names and online retailers.They now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Shipping Clerk to join their team.An ideal candidate is someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, communicate across internal teams and pick up new skills quickly.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLiaising with suppliers to arrange shipmentsLiaising internally with our team to ensure shipments are approved and shipped out in a timely manner to meet customer scheduleLiaising with freight forwardersFollowing the shipping process from Supplier to delivery pointCreating shipping documents for ExportChecking Import shipping documents received from OriginSending clearance instructions to freight forwardersMonitor shipments from Supplier to destination, keeping our computer system up to date with accurate arrival times.Key Skills:Experience in a shipping environment.A good eye for detail and accuracy is essentialExcellent communication skills both in person and on email.Good knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel.Knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be helpful but not essential as training can be givenExcellent time management Knowledge of HS codes/Commodity codes would be an advantageApply online or for further information contact one of our specialist consultants quoting reference number: NJR10997
