You will work within the Northern European Design Office carrying out value engineered design on some of the largest design projects across the region. As Hilti is a global company, in this role you will truly work with a global team to provide our customers with the best service. You will be working together with the engineers in our Head offices, the region, our HQ in Schaan for advance queries and with our colleagues in Rotterdam on our BIM projects. You will also act as a lead engineer in the region for the BIM projects that we win and coordinate with our modellers. As the senior Engineer in the region, you will also work towards continuous improvement to provide our customers with the best experience. Our systems can be used on a wide range of applications from the standard Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing support to overhead grid for operation systems, heavy door frames, lift shafts, raise access flooring in data centres, platforms in nuclear power stations to carriages in automotive companies.As it is a steel structure the use of our system is endless. This means that we get involved with a wide range of projects from schools, hospitals, office building to Rail projects, Datacentres, Pharmaceutical to Nuclear Power stations across our Northern European Region (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Finland) Key Responsibilities: Understand the customers‘ needs and translate this into the most optimised and cost effective solution for themLead the cost-cost effectiveness, on time delivery of the technical aspect of the design on the Hilti modular support systemDeliver charged engineering design serviceson diverse projectsSupport the professional delivery of these Services, the role must show compliance with and where possible, improvement in the associated internal processesAssist Northern European teams to develop/ improve the competency of our engineers in the delivery of design and BIM services to our customersKey driver to the growth of the Installation product sales through effective execution of the relevant engineering design servicesWhat do we offerWe really value our people and weve worked hard to develop a competitive reward package that reflects this. MSc (or equivalent) in Structural / Mechanical Engineering

Project experience working with Engineering Consultancy / Contractor in relevant industry sector

Good working knowledge of AutoDesk suite of software (Revit, Navisworks & CAD 2D/3D)

Willingness to both take self-responsibility and work well in a team

Good communication skills

Willingness to travel when required
