A dynamic company in the Totnes area is currently recruiting for a reliable and trustworthy individual to operate there mobile equipment. As a Operations Technician / Machine Operator you will be involved with all aspects of the business. working Monday to Friday 8am-4pm with lots of overtime if you want it every other weekend at 1.5 rate. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised, computer literate, confident and reliable, with a desire to expand their knowledge and develop their skills.Requirements / experience:* Plant operator; with an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.* Must be able to work unsupervised, sometimes at remote sites.* Process experience; relevant experience in the water or process industry an advantage but not essential.* Flexible; must be willing to adapt to changing requirements to meet customer demands.* Customer focused; must be able to communicate at all levels and gain the trust and respect of customers.the role will involve operating mobile processing equipment, forklift work, using various machines and operating plant equipment * Driving licence; must have a full, ideally clean driving licence for manual vehicles.* Forklift and/or Telehandler licence an advantage but not essential.Hours of work:8-4pm Monday to Friday Responsibilities:* To install, operate and maintain our range of Mobile Processing Plant.* Optimise machine settings to achieve desired processing parameters.* Assist Service Engineers when on site or at the company workshop.* Supervise and train subcontract labour, and new starters after completion of training.* Understand and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to undertaking installation and operating work.The Rewards:* Competitive salary, current average earnings circa £32k.* Paid overtime - time and a half Sat and double time for Sundays and Bank Holidays.* Company vehicle and fuel card.* All necessary tools and IT equipment provided.* Pension following qualifying period.* 28 days holiday, rising to 33 days with length of service.* Corporate wear and PPE provided.* Extensive ongoing training, mentoring and development.* Employee Assistance Program.Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
