Data Scientists spend 80% of their time searching for data which means spending valuable time on labour-intensive tasksthat could easily be automated. Our mission is to build software tools to make data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and enable Reuse of digital assets - FAIR.The RoleWe are looking for competent enthusiastic software engineers at a number of levels, from junior to senior to help us in this mission. We build software using javascript, java, groovy and python as core languages, and use a number of frameworks and librariesas appropriate, including Grails, React, Angular, D3, Spring and Micronaut - so experience with these would be particularly interesting. We deploy on Azure and AWS, and experience with these environments and virtualisation and deployment tools such as dockerand terraform is also sought after.Key tasks revolve around the following:
