Job Description

We are recruiting a Trainee Receptionist / Office Assistant for a local and friendly law firm in Totnes.This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first legal or office role with a laid back and welcoming company! You will start as an Office Assistant learning the ropes with really supportive training, but will have plenty of opportunity toshine and grow! You will be joining a small but close knit team who all support each other and laugh every day.JOB TITLE: Receptionist / Office Assistant (Trainee)LOCATION: TotnesHOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)SALARY: Dependent on experienceBENEFITS: This firm offer a fantastic benefit package - very generous annual leave - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays! You will provide a professional and friendly reception service for the office as well as supporting a range of departmentswith general office admin duties. This position would really suit someone who enjoys chipping in and turning their hand to a range of tasks! You will be an invaluable asset to the firm helping to ensure the smooth day to day running of the firm.YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:Within this role you will support with all things admin - including, but not limited to:

  • Providing reception cover - meeting and greeting clients, answering, redirecting and logging calls
  • Responding to any enquiries and passing these on to the relevant departments
  • Ensuring client records and files are up to date
  • Collecting and delivering post
  • Ordering of stationery, office and kitchen supplies
  • Maintaining a tidy and professional office and reception area
  • Disposing of confidential waste
  • Faxing, photocopying and scanning
  • Filing and archiving
  • Typing and audiotyping of notes, records and correspondence
  • Preparing documents and court bundles
  • Booking client appointments and arranging meetings
  • General ad hoc admin tasks across the business

  • Someone who is confident at managing multiple tasks at one time
  • Someone who can demonstrate a flexible and can do approach to work
  • A professional and polite telephone manner
  • Experience in providing excellent client or customer service
