They are proud of the fact that their regulated services are rated Good by the relevant bodies and they seek to build on these quality foundations.About the jobOur client is strengthening their existing management structure as they push forward with their strategic aims to expand the reach and range of their services across the region.They are seeking an engaging, confident and qualified professional to become their Operations Manager, overseeing their community-based programmes and short break and residential services, in which they are also looking to develop supported living options.Our client is looking for someone who can provide clear leadership to ensure their services remain person-centred and needs-led at all times. You will inspire teams to own the quality frameworks within which the organisation operates as aspirational goals. You will support the managers and teams in the challenges, and the successes, of providing services to people who often have complex needs.The main focus will include:- Leading, supporting and mentoring the service managers and their staff teams- Ensuring all services meet the relevant regulatory and quality standards- Managing services to achieve contractual outcomes and to operate within financial targets- Ensuring the safety and security of all children and vulnerable adults in our client’s care through implementing safeguarding policies- Having a visible presence with the staff teams in their service locations and amongst the people our client supports- Upholding and promoting the vision, values and culture of the organisation in all servicesYou will also provide support to the managers as part of a telephone on-call rota.About youTo be considered as the Operations Manager, you will need operational and people management experience gained within the health and/or social care sector, including working with commissioning bodies and, preferably, experience of multi-site locations.You will have a thorough understanding of the intricacies and challenges of the sector, including statutory requirements such as CQC standards and Ofsted regulations in regard to children’s homes, alongside quality standards within services.You will have significant experience of working with, and managing support to, people with learning disabilities, including autism, through a range of different service provisions.You will put the people our client supports at the heart of everything they do and ensure the organisation listens to their voices and views, as well as their families and other key stakeholders as services are developed.You will have experience of team development and delivering training, as well as modelling good practice that embeds and expresses policy and procedure in daily support to people.You will have a management qualification and you will previously have been a Registered Manager.You will be based in Dartington, near Totnes in beautiful South Devon, but you will have a regular visible presence across the services you manage.You must be a driver with your own transport insured for business use, as you will be travelling extensively around the area.You may have experience in one of the following: Registered Manager, Regional Manager, Operations Team Leader, Service Delivery Manager, Social Care Manager, Learning Disabilities, Charity, Charities, Not for Profit, Third Sector, Social Care, or Service Manager.Additional informationOur client is a well-established charity that provides an excellent range of staff benefits including 33 days’ annual leave on starting, a company pension scheme and a staff discount scheme.The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and they expect all staff to share this commitment.
