Sister An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister to work on Louisa Cary Children’s ward and join an innovative management team. The post holder will be required to contribute to the developments during this time of change within paediatric nursing at Torbay hospital as we strive for excellence in care.The acute children’s ward at Torbay cares for children and young people 0 – 18yrs on our 22 bedded ward which consists of 2 HDU beds, 12 cubicles and a separate 6 bedded young people’s area. We also have a Short Stay Paediatric Assessment area (SSPAU).The post will require close liaison with all areas where children are cared for within the trust, such as ED, day surgery, SCBU, children’s community team and outpatients. They would also be required to support the ward manager and be motivated to develop others within the team.
