Job Description

JOB – Product EngineerLOCATION - DevonTERM - PermanentWe are currently seeking a talented and motivated Product Engineer to join our clients team in Devon. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of our products and services.Ideally the Product Engineer will have the following attributes:

  • 3years of experience in a similar role or an engineering role in manufacturing
  • Presentation skills
  • Good knowledge and or training of Health and Safety risk assessments
  • Understanding of Project management methods and tools
  • Experience in Photonics would be beneficial but not essential
  • Problem solving skills
  • Customer focus
  • Accountability skills
  • Drive and Determination
The Product Engineer role will involve:
  • See products through from the prototype stages all the way through to volume manufacturing
  • Assist Product Engineering projects using tools such as Gantt, Project Status etc. Focusing on agreed KPI’s
  • Support and challenge Manufacturing Engineering with regards to cost reduction of processes
  • Meet deadlines, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all projects assigned are fully auditable to the current site accreditations
  • Understand the requirements of our current (ISO9001) and future (AS9100) quality management systems
  • Delivery of key customer milestones/documentation packages.
  • Schedule adherence to the NPI gates
  • To assist with the implementation of quality improvements, including leading and maintaining PFMEA’s and introducing risk mitigation.
  • Appropriate deployment of NPI processes, meeting all design milestone objectives.
