Job Description

Experienced Manufacturing Team Leader required to coordinate and control the manufacturing team activities and resources in order to achieve the manufacturing plan safely to the correct quality on time to budget, reporting to the Manufacturing Lead.Manufacturing Team Leader Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in a technical production environment
  • Component Manufacturing Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills & have worked within a manufacturing team
  • Trained in LEAN manufacturing practices
  • Recognised management qualification & technical qualification desirable
  • Use of Syspro and legacy business systems
  • Awareness of documentation structure
  • General computer literacy
  • Product & process knowledge
  • Understanding of metrics
  • Communication Skills
  • Leadership
  • Motivating others
  • Delivering Results
  • Performance Management
  • Safety, Quality, Compliance
    • Manufacturing Team Leader Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Lead (ML) to ensure that team has correct number of trained people to deliver the manufacturing plan
  • Ensure that all team members are conforming to all health and safety procedures and promote a culture of proactive safety on the shop floor
  • Ensure that all team members are conforming to Quality procedures and promote a culture of Quality conformance on the shop floor
  • Support product and process Quality improvements throughout all manufacturing areas
  • Support continuous improvement activities to achieve budgetary targets
  • To support ML in appraisal process to ensure all team members receive appropriate feedback on performance and growth opportunities
  • Advise and support ML with grading activity recommendations
  • Support ML in following disciplinary procedure
  • To provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members
  • To proactively manage any manufacturing deviations from target and to ensure where appropriate required escalation process is followed
