Job Description

Graduate Business Development ExecutiveBranded, Chilled Food ManufacturerDevon, South West EnglandOffice BasedAre you a hard working and highly motivated graduate looking to start a career in sales as a National Accounts Executive / Business Development ExecutiveAre you target driven / results orientated with strong mental resilience and a determination to succeedAre you a foodie, passionate about food and keen to develop a career in the food industryThis could be the role that you have been looking forWe are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join this growing chilled food business based in beautiful Devon.Reporting to the Head of Sales you will support the whole Sales Team in driving company revenue and profits. You will also be responsible and accountable for the development of business within a designated portfolio of accounts.Role / Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales and Marketing departments and their interface with other departments by providing timely reports on availability, samples and performance.
  • Support the Sales Team / Business Development Managers with sales forecasting on a monthly basis - identifying sales by customer and product category / SKU for the existing fiscal year and the 12 months ahead.
  • Utilise all available data to analyse existing sales performance with a view to increasing existing sales and listings.
  • Assist with the preparation of proper and relevant category data / insight and ensure this is utilised in sales presentations and general business presentations.
  • Issue monthly reports with respect to relevant customers - detailing and comparing sales volume and value performance against last year and budget.
  • Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.
The Individual: Educated to degree level. Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)able to communicate cross functionally and build trust with internal and external customers. Strong IT Skillsparticularly Microsoft Office. Financially numerate with proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Good commercial awareness and acumen. Capable of developing and demonstrating in-depth knowledge of products and services Excellent organisational and time management skills Full Driving license and happy to conduct customer visits Sales experience an advantage but not essential.The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive package including a basic salary in the region of £24,000.
