Alongside on-the-job training, you will undertake classroom-based lessons at Exeter College to equip you with the theoryto support your practical knowledge.So, if you want to join a leading, family-owned business that will support you personally and professionally as you embark upon this exciting next chapter, then apply today!The RoleAs a Construction Apprentice, you will join our expert team to gain your Construction Site Supervisor Level 4 apprenticeship qualification in collaboration with Exeter College.Supporting the site team in achieving operational objectives, you will observe, learn and gain an understanding of a wide range of construction skills and processes.You will work closely with the site management team to supervise all sub-contractors and trades and ensure working methods are performed correctly.Additionally, you will learn to:- Secure the storage of all site materials- Co-ordinate the delivery of site materials- Complete material and plant log sheets- Monitor site recycling- Organise materials and assist with logistics planning- Monitor stock control and communicate shortages and excesses to the Site Manager- Co-ordinate hired machineryAbout YouTo be considered as a Construction Apprentice, you will need:- Attention to detail- Good communication and interpersonal skills- Good leadership skills- The ability to influence, persuade and negotiate- Proficiency in IT- The ability to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines- Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skillsThe entry requirements for this apprenticeship are Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C/Level 4, however, if you do not hold these qualifications, you will be supported to gain these skills alongside your apprenticeship.Other organisations may call this role Trainee Construction Supervisor, Junior Construction Supervisor, Building Supervisor Apprentice, or Construction Site Management Apprentice.Webrecruit and Cavanna Homes are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
