The role We are looking to enhance our pathway for children and young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties by recruiting a 1.0wte Clinical Psychologist at Band 7. The pathway links with wider Devon but sits within our multidisciplinary CAMHS teams in Torbay and South Devon as part of Children and Families Health Devon.As psychologists within CAMHS we are valued for our expertise in offering psychological assessments, integrative psychological formulations, working with complex cases and offering consultation and supervision. This post will deliver specialist neurodevelopmental assessment of young people as well as supporting the Torbay and South Devon MDTs with formulation and adapting interventions appropriate to the needs of the children and young people. This role provides the opportunity for offering clinical leadership and consultation to members of the MDTs as well as contributing to the service development of this neurodiversity pathway. We aspire to offer high quality, psychological care to children, young people and their families following the CYP IAPT principles of collaborative care, evidence based practice and use of routing outcome monitoring to know whether or not we make a positive difference.In joining Children and Family Health Devon you will be part of a wider group of child psychologists working in Paediatrics, Learning Disability, ASD diagnosis and with under 5s across Devon who meet on a regular basis for CPD and networking. About You We would be happy to hear from qualified clinical psychologists who have experience or are prepared to develop experience in working with children and young people with both neurodevelopment and mental health issues and who have or are keen to develop clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and service development competencies. Ideally this experience will be within a CAMHS context, but other experience may be relevant. You will have the knowledge and skills to deliver evidence based and outcome monitored psychological therapies and will also be able to demonstrate your competence as a reflective practitioner with a passion for working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams. You will have developed skills in supervising other clinicians including trainee, assistant and qualified psychologists.
