Band 5 Biomedical Scientist or Trainee Applications are invited for a Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the diagnostic microbiology laboratory of Torbay District General Hospital.The successful applicant will rotate through all sections of the laboratory, and will benefit from the in house CPD, motivation and enthusiasm of the staff.The microbiology department handles approx. 220,000 specimens per year, of which 40,000 are serology samples.A mandatory evening, weekend and Bank Holiday rota operates, and the applicant would be expected to participate.If you have any queries or questions please contact Gilly Hewlett, Microbiology Laboratory Manager.
