Job Description

Intermediate Architectural Technician/ TechnologistAC5637326354Milton Keynes£25,000- 30,000 (Depending On Experience)Our client, an established RIBA Chartered architectural practice based neat Torquay, Devon, have an exciting new requirement for an Architectural Technician/ Technologist to join their award-winning team on a permanent basis.You will get the chance to work on a variety of small, medium and large scale residential and commercial projects as part of a small, vibrant and ambitious team where career progression is actively promoted.This practice used VectorWorks, so experience in this software is desirable (although not essential!).Essential skills/ qualifications for this Architectural Technician/ Technologistrole:

  • Be suitably qualified and ideally you will already have experience within a UK based practice - ideally within the residential and commercial sectors.
  • Have strong knowledge of Vectorworks, AutoCad, Photoshop & Sketchup.
  • Excellent hand sketching abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A UK driving licence & ideally your own transport.
    • To work as an Architectural Technician/ Technologist you will be:
  • Working as part of a team, assisting on development of design proposals.
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications.
  • Coordinating designs with other members of the team.
  • Producing planning application drawings and develop further detailed stages suitable for Building Regulation applications, tender and construction.
  • Liaising with clients and other consultants to develop designs and prepare documentation for tender purposes, including specification writing.
  • Alongside more senior members of staff, overseeing construction works on site and liaising with clients and contractors to produce complete building projects.
