Band 6 Reconnect2Activity Team: experienced Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist/AHP Torbay and South Devon Foundation NHS Trust. Full time.This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established and further developing multidisciplinary teams in South Devon. We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist /AHP with a willingness to embrace new challenges, new ways of working using virtual and digital technology and learn new skills. The Reconnect2activity team is an established role, working within specialist chronic pain rehabilitation and specialist chronic fatigue syndrome/ME (CFS/ME) services within primary, community and secondary care settings. This post will require sensitivity and a degree of emotional resilience. You will be working with people who have persistent widespread pain, FMS, fatigue and CFS/ME, who experience a range of physical, functional and emotional difficulties. You will be responsible for managing your own specialist clinical caseload working with adults on either a one-to-one or group basis. You will be actively involved in influencing and implementing the ongoing development of the Reconnect2activity team with the support of the Band 8a and Band 7 clinical specialists. You must have a very good knowledge base regarding the management of long-term conditions and have some previous experience at senior Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy level across a range of specialties including one from pain rehabilitation, chronic fatigue, rheumatology, mental health and paediatric services. You will be working as a psychologically informed therapist within a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) framework to encourage participation in exercise and/or activity despite pain/fatigue.There are opportunities for regular inter-team training and clinical supervision, in addition to working as part of a supportive and friendly interdisciplinary team. Experience of teaching undergraduates and Band 5 staff and evidence of effective clinical leadership are important.
