Job Description

PMP have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company manufacturing a diverse range of products for lifting and pipe maintenance applications, water and fire rescue, humanitarian.We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead our packer pipe repair cell. Experience in rubber moulding or materials handling would be desirable but not essential as training will be given.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of packer cell and operatives
  • Organise day-to-day running of the Packer Cell
  • Control and management of stock
  • Supervising, training, and motivating packer cell operative/s
  • Taking a proactive lead in implementing continuous process improvement
  • Involvement in production planningallocating of tasks
  • Updating and rescheduling of work where necessary due to changing priorities
  • Checking product quality and ensuring Works Orders have been completed correctly
  • Identification and resolution of any technical/mechanical issues
  • Ensuring packer cell area is safe, tidy and risk free - in line with Lean Manufacturing
  • Assisting production manager with future improvement projects
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record of supervising and managing a small team or cell
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and resolve issues
  • Must have Lean operations experience
  • Possess excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Must be willing and able to drive change and improvement
  • Computer literate and numerate
