Job Description

Pay: MPS / UPS, TLR2b & SEN allowanceStart Date: Jan 2021Special Needs - Post 16 Leader of LearningWe are looking to appoint an exceptional Post 16 Leader of Learning. Key tasks of the role will include:

  • Strategic development of the Sixth Form within Nexus School
  • To deliver high quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment to ensure best outcomes for all students
  • To ensure students have access to appropriate pathways for the next stage of their education and adult life
  • To secure students Personal Development, Behaviour and Wellbeing
  • To provide clear and decisive management and direction through effective line management of teams
  • Parental and Community Partnerships to extend employment opportunities
  • To ensure EHCP outcomes are an integral part of the delivery across the curriculum to Sixth Form
  • To develop transition planning processes
  • To extend the range of opportunities for work based learning and work experience

We are situated just off the A21 and have a large staff car park. However, we are also only a 15-20 minute walk from Tonbridge Station. In addition, we opened a Satellite Provision based at Wouldham All Saints Church of England Primary School in September 2018.Nexus invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve.
