The Wolseley Tonbridge branch are looking for a Driver LGV (C1) to join their successful team to support on deliveries and in the warehouse.You’ll be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, either 6.30am - 3.30pm or 7am - 4pm with 1 hour for lunch.About the roleYour main duties will be:• Driving a 7.5t vehicle• Delivering between 1-18 drops per day depending on the drop distance• Vehicle checks and handheld PDA usage• Loading and unloading own vehicles• Picking and packing in warehouse once deliveries complete• Offloading for customers and providing excellent customer service The branch covers a wide area in the South but the majority of drops will be in London.About youA full Category C licence is required to ensure youve undergone the correct training to operate a 7.5t van and carry out appropriate vehicle checks. Youll need to be familiar with drivers hours law and working time directive to ensure adherence with them.Youll need to be able to fully complete manual tachographs and fully check a vehicle for defects.Good knowledge of the road laws and ability to abide by them is essential for this role.FORS silver accreditation is preferable but training will be provided if not.Were looking for someone polite and reasonable who is able to work independently and in a team.
