Job Description

Recruit 121 are working with a well respected manufacturer to find an outstanding General Ledger Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract due to continued growth. This role would someone who has strong accounting skills (Qualified preferred) has experiencein manufacturing and is open to the role going permanent.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: G/L accounting, including

Accruals and prepayments
Journals
Balance sheet reconciliations

Month end close Complete consolidation schedules Year end close Cash forecasting Provide local VAT and Intrastat reporting within deadlines Assist in Corporate tax declaration within deadlines Deal with external organisations such as auditors, bank, tax authoritiesSKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Accounting qualification is preffered AAT, ACCA or CIMA
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English (German would be helpful) .
Good analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Able to meet deadlines
Experience of compliance with local statutory regulations (tax, VAT, accounting rules etc) is a plus
Thorough knowledge of Excel.
ERP system experience, preferably JD Edwards
Must be able to relate to staff at all levels and work well in teams; the role will also involve working with company staff based at other locations

Package:Base to £35k plus 10% completion bonus, pension at 8%,
