Job Description

QHSE Manager We are on the lookout for a QHSE Manager within a specialist Filtration and Process Engineering manufacturer based in Tipton supplying equipment for the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, water and process industries worldwide. As QHSE Manager, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth running of the QHSE department. You will be required to manage all Quality and Compliance aspects of the company, oversee Health and Safety requirements and ensure Environmental aspectsare met and managed also. Further detail of responsibilities is outlined below. As QHSE Manager, you will be liaising internally with all departments, including Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Accounts. Responsibilities:

  • To manage all aspects of the QHSE department including personnel requirements.
  • Take on responsibility for the QHSE department, ensuring adequate equipment to perform the required functions.
  • To control the system requirements in line with the applicable ISO standards and to liaise with governing/notified bodies to ensure conformance.
  • Oversee and carry out Compliance and Improvement activities associated with Quality, Health & and Safety and Environment duties.
  • To ensure products conform to drawings and specifications in line with engineering design.
  • To ensure that production techniques are to the required standard to efficiently produce quality products.
  • Responsible for ensuring all product certification requirements are met.
  • Responsible for correct retention and disposal of documentation complying with any relevant law and industry requirements.
  • Conduct regular Team Talk communications meetings and ensure good employee relations to continually improve communication and morale.
  • Manage and oversee all Awarding Bodies and Third-Party Relations.
  • Management may, from time to time, require you to carry out tasks in addition to your normal duties, provided these tasks are both reasonable and within your capabilities.
Essential: Management and Leadership Level 5 or equivalent and experience Health and Safety NEBOSH equivalent plus 3 years experience Qualified in Management systems auditing.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and projects or initiatives.
  • A good understanding of engineering and manufacturing practices.
  • A good level of Numeracy & Literacy
  • Experience of Quality Procedures.
  • Experience of working within a Production/Workshop Environment.
  • Experience of COSHH.
  • Experience of ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO18001/45001 standards.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
  • Previous experience working and managing departments and staff at a senior level essential.
  • Previous experience within the oil & gas industry would be advantageous but not essential
This position is for 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday. The salary for this position is £35,000£40,000, depending on experience. Immediate start date available.
