Job Description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client school in the Timperley area of Manchester. The Primary School are seeking a SEN teaching assistant to join their passionate staffing team on a full time basis. This role is to work within their Year1 class with a child with autism who needs support on a 1:1 basis. The role will be to start in September 2022 and will have the potential to run for the full academic year.The role would involve working with an individual student and supporting their needs, ensuring they can access the work being taught. To work to the direction of the teacher and to support the setup of individual schedules; you should have relevant experienceof working and supporting an individual with Autism. This child works from a tailored learning plan, so previous experience in this would be highly beneficialThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school with an excellent standard of education and a supportive staff team.The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous SEN experience
  • Relevant qualifications within supporting learning and SEN
As the child can show challenging behaviour, a candidate who can deal with deflecting situations and build strong working relationships would be ideal for this role.
