Assistant Merchandiser South ManchesterNJR are delighted to once again be working with a multi-Channel retailer, due to their ever expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their offices based in South Manchester.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, diverse and dynamic organisation, that truly believes in rewarding their employees with a range of benefits including a Company Bonus scheme, Healthcare, 25% staff discount, 33 days holidays and somuch more!ResponsibilitiesManage your own department and play a key role in trading and driving profit and margin.Plan product ranges in conjunction with the Buying and Merchandising team and deliver a commercially viable range across both Home Shopping and Retail divisionsAnalyse sales and prepare sales forecasts and figures for new ranges.Optimise the sales and profitability of designated product areas.Liaise with suppliers and distributors.Ensure all buys are placed and stock arrives as planned.Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays as they arise.Control stock levels based on forecasts for the season.Monitor slow sellers, and take action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.The successful candidate will need to have previous merchandising experience within a Retail or Home Shopping environment.
