Job Description

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISORLocation: Tilbury, EssexHours: Shift Rota : 4 on / 4 off (INCLUDING WEEKENDS AS THE SHIFT FALLS)Pay: £39,000 per annumPermanent JobWe have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.Offering a competitive rate of pay, training and development, a friendly working environment, and a secure position within an established company, we are looking for a hard-working and friendly Supervisor to join our Clients team in Tilbury, Essex.Role:

  • Oversee and supervise the work of the Warehouse Team.
  • Coordinating logistical processes and supporting the Warehouse Admin Team.
  • Ensure the quality of work, proper handling of customer goods, and preparation of all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor, track and assess team productivity levels.
  • Assign staff workloads across the warehouse, including dispatching goods.
  • Reporting on the effectiveness of terminal activities.
  • Maintaining inventory and storage areas throughout the Warehouse.
  • Ensure all health & safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Person specification:
  • Recent warehousing supervisory experience.
  • VNA Retail and/or warehouse distribution experience would be desirable.
  • Must have an in-date and valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
  • Minimum of 1 years forklift operating experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and competent computer skills.
  • Strong ability to lead a team effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional H&S standards.
  • Excellent communication skills & strong ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with SAP would be desirable.
  • Experience with Transporeon would be desirable.
  • Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration would be desirable.
