Job Description

Permanent Location - Tilbury Monday to Friday - Day shift Salary - £35,000 to £40,000 Are you a Production Team Leader with ambition and goals Our client is a leading British technology company and truck manufacturer, best known for its zero-emission Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and hydrogen fuel cell range-extended vehicles.Are you looking for an opportunity where you will be a key member of a rapidly growing organisation, where your input and experience will help to shape the future of the company and freight transport as we know it Click apply today.As a Production Team Leader, you will take an active role in the building of pre-production prototype vehicles, work closely with engineers to identify and resolve build issues, give valuable contributions, ideas and take ownership to continually improve yourteam and business area. Role Responsibilities:

  • Support virtual series builds to ensure parts/processes are designed for assembly, identify potential improvements/concerns
  • Provide robust training to manufacturing associates
  • Identify ergonomic, risk assessments & health & safety concerns and solutions
  • Identify risks to First Time Through (FTT) / Dock audits, including potential solutions or containment actions.
  • Tracking of build phase units to ensure timely delivery to end customer
Your experience:
  • Knowledge of PFMEA / DFA processes
  • You will be self-motivated with sound communication skills, ideally with experience in production practices of assembly processes
  • Use of lean manufacturing and problem-solving techniques
  • Good working knowledge of Work Instruction Sheets and their generation.
  • Creates a supportive working environment in which dignity at work, respect and trust are an integral part of working together
