Job Description

As our Debt Management Services Team continues to grow, we are looking for another Back Office Finance Administrator to come on board! If you have financial transactional experience and you are looking to work within a company that offers you growth andprogression, then this could be just the role for you.Sopra Steria Debt Management Services strives to provide total care for Debtors and Clients throughout the collections lifecycle. The digital transformation solutions we are putting in place, help our clients drive real business change, resulting in achievingbetter strategic, financial, citizen and employee outcomes.Our vision is to become the market leader in End-to-End debt management services, with a clear focus on ethics and vulnerability, making sure we exceed the baseline requirements of the FCAs Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) agenda.We have developed an approach which will help government departments to reduce operational costs, improve collections rates and make sure debtors are cared for at every stage of the collections lifecycle. Weve crafted a Debt Management process which considersthe organisations need for timely collection, as well as the debtors requirements at each stage of the lifecycle.We have now been successfully appointed to the Crown Commercial Service, Debt Recovery Services Framework and under this, public sector organisations (the Buyers) are now able to utilise our debt recovery services.What youll be doing:

  • Performing transactional finance activities, such as Receipting, Reconciliation of Bank Statements and Processing Journals.
  • Run defined reporting processes.
  • Perform admin functions relating to systems and correspondence received.
  • Resolving routine queries or issues, and escalating any unusual or non-routine situations to other teams or individuals following investigation
  • Ensure day to day service delivery by completing/monitoring workloads and advancing issues that could affect delivery targets to the Management Team
  • Understand the role of Sopra Steria Financial Services in the delivery of debt collection services to our clients and our obligations to them and the Managed Service Provider
  • Other duties as assigned
What youll bring:
  • Microsoft Excel Skills
  • A "can do" mentality to handling own workload to be able to assist other team members to achieve the team objectives
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to follow and achieve performance targets.
  • Experience of data processing
It would be great if you had:
  • Experience of working within a Finance administration environment
  • Order to Cash or Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience or understanding of file integrations
  • An understanding of Direct Debit processes and guidelines
  • Experience of Sage or other Finance ERPs
  • Experience of Multi-Client processing
