Job Description

Reed Accountancy are thrilled to partner with a creative and authentic client, who is currently seeking a skilled and trustworthy Assistant Accountant. This is a fantasticopportunity to join theirfriendly, close-knit team, based in Thornaby, working inthe Manufacturing sector.Full-time, permanent role paying a salary of £28,500K.You will be responsible for all of the Accounts & Finance function, including invoicing, bank reconciliations, credit control and other bookkeeping duties.

  • Daily bank reconciliation for 3 companies
  • Preparation submission and reconciliation of the VAT return
  • Monthly IOSS tax return reporting
  • Monthly payroll including mandatory HMRC reporting
  • Transaction of purchase invoices to include a weekly payment run
  • Transaction and control of customer invoices
  • Monthly extraction of sales data from various e-commerce sales channels to enter into Sage 50
  • Monthly control and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of appropriate documents with supporting evidence to assist auditors with year-end
  • Liaise closely with auditors
  • Monthly P&L report for Directors Procurement of all supplies
  • Review existing suppliers for continuous improvement
  • Ad hoc duties and reports for Directors
