Job Description

Our client, a prestigious manufacturing client, based in Thetford, are currently seeking an experienced Yard Person to join their team.Do you have proven experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering environment

    • The successful candidate will be used to working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, a good team player and looking for a long-term career with a highly reputable organisation. If so, this could be the role for you!This is a full time, permanent position. Working hours are 07:30 - 16:00.Job Duties:
  • Manage steel stocks - including moving in and out of workshops
  • Unloading steel & other raw materials, galvanised fabrications etc; checking and passing paperwork to Goods In
  • Cutting steel as necessary using the saw
  • Maintaining tidy laser/profile racks
  • All fork lift requirements for slidebed and fab shop
  • Pick fabrication kits - learning from PM
  • Clean and valet vehicles prior to despatch and for shows
  • Driving - delivery and collections as required.
    • Key Skills required
  • Organised and tidy
  • Fork lift licence ideal but not essential
  • Driving licence essential
    • Full training will be provided for Side loader Forklift and HGV training after 6 months proven experience.Todd Hayes Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
