What is a Treatment Technician ApprenticeOur Treatment Apprentices work at our Wastewater Plants, maintaining our sewerage systems and pumping stations. Youll be monitoring and maintaining wastewater treatment processes including screening, grit removal, settlement, biological treatment and sludgetreatment.As a Treatment Technician Apprentice, youll train to become a fully qualified Works Technician Process Controller within our Water Recycling team. As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend 24 months training and learning. This will be through a mixtureof classroom study (1 week every month), and the rest of the time there will be on-the-job training with a mentor as you work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard.To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require:
  • Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;
  • Predicted Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;
  • Proof of enrolment onto Level 2 Maths & English Functional Skills
  • An enthusiastic nature, a willingness to learn & team spirit
  • A passion for practical work, the great outdoors and Science
As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving license(or be able to obtain one in the first 9 months of being successful on the apprenticeship scheme) along with living within a 30-minute radius of the advertised area, or within the circumferenceof the area the Apprentice will cover.Closing date: Sunday 19th February 2023Next Steps: Once we receive your application we will assess your eligibility for the role, if you are successful, we will then arrange a telephone interview with you.
