Job Description

Purchasing Manager£40k - £50k Dependant on experienceThetfordMy client is an established and rapidly growing manufacturer of personal care and cosmetic products. Due to continued growth and success, the opportunity to recruit a Purchasing Manager has arisen. The successful candidate will have experience in a comparableindustry: personal care, pharma, or food supply chains. In return, my client offers a rewarding, visionary, fast paced role and environment.Responsibilities

  • Provide senior management to the purchasing department
  • To determine the requirements and optimum stock levels against the business demand via an effective purchasing strategy.
  • Consolidation of stock, management and ownership of the full inventory.
  • To deliver an effective procurement strategy in conjunction with the business needs
  • Head up the Supply Chain team to continually drive process and procedural improvements in the daily work. Including the management of Category Buyers and Administrative support.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Identify and manage current stock to reduce actual spend and prevent duplication of purchases. Consolidation of materials for use with current components to create agreed finished good packs.
Requirements
  • Have considerable experience in a comparable industry: personal care, pharma, or food supply chains.
  • Be CIPS Qualified level 4 or above with demonstrable purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated, determined and driven to develop the role.
  • Work well under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • A proactive team player who is honest, hardworking, and reliable.
