Job Description

A leading engineering company who manufacture electrical components and related products to a range of industries are looking to hire a Production Planner for their manufacturing site in Thetford. The business are renowned for their straight-forward vision of delivering what their customers want and are growing fast.In order to be considered, youll need to be naturally organised, with a good understanding of production scheduling from within a manufacturing environment.Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with day-to-day operations for production
  • Manage the production schedule, ensuring it matches the production plan
  • Monitor production volumes across all production areas
  • Provide data for KPI reporting
  • Create & manage forecasting in the production schedule
  • Provide estimates for production time frames
  • Adhere to ISO procedures and work instructions
  • Liaising with buyers, marketing and sales staff
  • Any other related tasks to maintain or improve production scheduling & execution.
  • In order for your application to be considered, youll need the following skills & qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years production planning
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering business
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to communicate tactfully and with diplomacy
  • Able to establish and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise duties in order to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working with lean manufacturing would be an advantage but not essential
  • Hours of work are:
  • Mon - Fri 08:00 to 17:00
  • Friday 08:00 to 14:00
