Job Description

Hales Group Norwich are pleased to be working with a local industry-leading facilities, maintenance and repairs specialist.Our client is looking for an experienced Plasterer for a minimum of 3 months.You will be working in social housing from reactive repairs.The successful Plasterer will be working around Thetford, Mildenhall and surrounding areas.As the Plasterer you will be responsible for:

  • Representing the company whilst working within void and tenanted domestic properties
  • Working alongside other trades professionals to complete projects to the highest standard
  • Be able to work as part of a team and alone
  • Responsible for the effective delivery of Plastering repairs. This will include : preparation of walls for impending damp injection works, full plaster works, patch repairs, skimming, coving, bonding, artexing, overboarding, rendering, basic painting and decorating, and basic carpentry, within the void, responsive and planned repair service, using the required tools.
  • To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company ‘Right First Time ‘approach towards our customers.
  • You will ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • You will manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.
  • From time to time if requested, to act as a mentor to trainees within the organisation and encourage a learning environment.
  • Providing out of hours support on a rota based system. Additional remuneration will be incorporated for this.
  • To undertake any other duties as required by the Group from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.
  • In order to be eligible you must-
  • Have a full clean UK driving licence
  • Hold NVQ L2-3 or equivalent or to be time serve
  • Experienced Multiskilled - Plasterer
  • Social Housing experience
  • Pay & Benefits include
  • Tools, Uniform & Van provided.
  • 42.5hrs Per Week- Mon-Friday 8am-5pm.
